Job Description

The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician is crucial in maintaining the efficiency, reliability, and safety of advanced manufacturing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems within a dynamic production environment. Collaborating closely with engineers and operations teams, the I&E Technician ensures seamless equipment functionality, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality FPC solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, control panels, sensors, and motor controls.
  • Equipment Calibration: Regularly calibrate and configure instruments such as flow meters, pressure sensors, and temperature controllers to ensure accuracy and reliability in production processes.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and electrical codes to maintain a secure working environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair logs, and equipment performance; assist in updating schematics and electrical diagrams.
  • Collaboration & Support: Partner with engineers, technicians, and production staff to support new equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency situations to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and components necessary for repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification in electrical or instrumentation technology is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an I&E Technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or related setting.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs, SCADA systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation, electrical schematics, and control logic.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
