Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for the position of Learning Commons Specialist Mathematics P00332 with Academic Affairs/Learning Commons. What You'll Do

The Learning Commons Specialist - Mathematics is primarily responsible for instructing/providing learning assistance and tutoring support to individual students and groups and working with faculty across divisions to develop programs, resources, materials and projects.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for:

• Instructing/providing learning assistance to individual students and groups.
• Working with faculty across divisions to develop programs, resources, materials and projects.
• Conducting class visits, orientations, and tours for classes and other groups.
• Serving on Learning Commons committees and other campus committees.
• Mentoring OPS tutors and participating in the tutor training process.
• Providing academic support services to a specified population of students such as Veterans, STEM, online, dual enrollment, athletes, etc.
• 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends).

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a discipline related to the assigned area of responsibility including but not limited to mathematics, statistics, mathematics education, or computer science.
• Requires two (2) years of experience in learning assistance and/or teaching.
• The two (2) years of experience can be substituted for a Master's or Doctorate's degree.
