Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to utilize MIG welding techniques to join aluminum stud frames, walls, and roofs in the creation of enclosures. The role involves welding secondary and supporting components, steel tanks, and assembling and welding walls around fuel tanks. You will test welds for leaks and perform spot welds when necessary, collaborating with Quality Control to ensure all work meets specifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MIG welding techniques to weld aluminum stud frames, walls, and roofs.
• Weld secondary and supporting components for enclosures.
• Weld steel tanks and assemble walls around fuel tanks.
• Test welds for leaks and perform spot welds where necessary.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure compliance with specifications.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year experience in MIG welding (work/hobby/volunteer).
• Experience in light and medium gauge fabrication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure and computing basic math.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to interpret shop drawings.
• AWS Certification preferred.
• Certified Flux Core welder preferred.
• Technical Degree or Certification preferred.

Work Environment

The position operates Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm during the first shift. Training will occur during the first shift until the second shift opens, which will be from 2:30 pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required for additional shifts, including weekends. The work environment is located at a startup site in Batesville.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Batesville, Mississippi.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
