OTR Driver - Class A & B CDL

Locations: New Boston, MI

Pay: $27.00/hour + Overtime Pay | Weekly Pay

Schedule: Depart Mondays, return Fridays (occasionally Saturday AM)

Position Overview
Our client is seeking experienced and safety-focused Over-the-Road (OTR) Drivers to support dedicated plant-to-plant runs across multiple states. Drivers are typically out Monday through Friday, returning home on weekends. This is a great opportunity for professional drivers who are looking for consistency, weekly pay, and regular overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A vehicles in accordance with all DOT and state regulations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and records
• Transport materials between plant locations across SC, MS, KY, IL, MI, and OH
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance
• Load/unload freight and assist with stacking, labeling, and inventory control
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated in accordance with safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and internal team members
• Assist in other departmental operations as needed
• Follow FIFO practices and ensure proper tagging and tracking of materials
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs

Requirements

• Valid Michigan CDL (Class A & B endorsements required)
• Minimum of 2 or fewer moving violations in the last 3 years
• No more than 2 points on MVR within the last 3 years
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours-of-service compliance
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading
• Must pass DOT-required random drug screenings
• Ability to operate Hi-Lo equipment safely and efficiently (preferred)
• Strong attendance and punctuality record
• Must have ability to drive manual
