\n \n\n \nThe role you'll contribute:
\n \n\n \nRadiologic Technologists perform radiographic examinations that create images for diagnosis. Radiography integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. Radiologic Technologists prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate radiographic examinations.
\n \n\n \nThe value you'll bring to the team:
\n \n\n \nCollects pertinent data about the patient and the procedure. Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from the medical record, significant others and health care providers. The collection of information is determined by the patient needs or condition.
\n \nUses radiation restrictive devices on all examinations.
\n \nDemonstrates the knowledge and skills required to collect and document data related to physical, psychosocial and developmental stages and complete interventions according to Radiology procedures.
\n \nAssures that all patient films are properly identified.
\n \nOperate portable image intensifier (C-Arm) to provide fluoroscopic assistance in any of the following procedures: Orthopedics, Urology, Endoscopy, General, Vascular subtraction.
\n \n\n \nQualifications
\n \n\n \nThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
\n \n\n \n·High School graduate or equivalent
\n \n·Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
\n \n·Current ARRT certification
\n \n·Current Florida State license in Radiologic Technology
\n \n·Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification or RQI upon hire
\n \n·1 hour Stroke Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually
\n \n·1 hour of Hip and Knee Replacement/Spine Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually
