Pay Rate: $37

Safety Requirement: Metatarsal safety boots required

Position Overview

John Deere Construction and Forestry is seeking a Technical Instructor to develop and deliver training for the compact construction equipment product line. This role is essential in supporting dealer and internal personnel through high-quality technical and parts certification courses.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical and parts certification training for compact construction equipment.
• Collaborate with Instructional Designers to develop course content and materials.
• Coordinate with John Deere and dealer personnel to align training objectives and delivery.
• Lead classroom instruction and mentor less-experienced instructors.
• Manage training logistics, including rosters, evaluations, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain and update instructor guides, training aids, and course documentation.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience diagnosing hydraulic, electrical, communication network, powertrain, and engine systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency in developing training content aligned with learning objectives (e.g., using Microsoft PowerPoint).
• Experience delivering technical training in a classroom setting.
• Strong team collaboration and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in construction equipment used in roadbuilding and site development.
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training needs assessment.
• Familiarity with dealer networks and direct customer interaction in the heavy equipment industry.
