Key Responsibilities - Conduct detailed cost analysis, including COGS, direct labor, and overhead for manufacturing processes.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts specific to production operations.
- Analyze production variances, identifying root causes for deviations from standard costs and budget.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports on manufacturing performance, key metrics, and trends.
- Evaluate capital expenditure requests for new machinery and facility upgrades, calculating ROI.
- Monitor inventory valuation, obsolescence, and turnover to optimize working capital.
- Collaborate with operations to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
Recommended Qualifications - Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis, with an emphasis on cost drivers in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience with cost accounting principles, including standard costing, activity-based costing, and inventory valuation.
- Proficiency with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for data extraction and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting manufacturing financial performance.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain dynamics, and their impact on financial results.
Bonus Qualifications - Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and variance analysis
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience analyzing supply chain costs and inventory optimization
