Job Description

Burg Simpson is seeking a Litigation Associate for an exciting opportunity to be part of its Personal Injury team.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive civil litigation experience (motions briefing, taking, and defending depositions, arguing motions, and trial or arbitration experience) in the areas of personal injury litigation, and will collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and legal staff in developing case management strategies to complex legal issues.

* Responsibilities of the position include:
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients
* Counsel clients to understand their legal options
* Conduct research and prepare legal documents, pleadings, briefs and complex discovery
* Interview and depose parties and witnesses
* Strategize on case development, complex legal issues and resolution options

Requirements of the position include:

* Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado
* Progressive civil litigation experience in the practice areas of plaintiff personal injury including familiarity and application of state and federal rules of civil procedure, rules of evidence and attorney rules of ethical conduct
* Outstanding interpersonal skills
* Excellent research, writing, analytical and advocacy skills

*STARTING SALARY: $120,000*, commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience.
