• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract\n
• Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804\n
• Unit: NeuroSpine Medical Surgical / Telemetry\n
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract\n
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)\n
• Schedule: Holidays and every other weekend required; block scheduling available if it accommodates every other weekend\n
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 or 6:1\n
• Number of Beds: 24-bed NeuroSpine Med-Surg/Telemetry unit\n
• EMR: Cerner electronic medical records\n
• Scrub Color: Navy\n
• Floating: Required to float to other nursing units as needed\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active RN license (Indiana or compact state)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Neuro, Medical Surgical, or Telemetry nursing\n
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n
• Proficiency in Neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube, and groin site management post-interventional radiology\n
• Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility\n
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed\n

\n\nRN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with higher Med-Surg acuity, including stroke, seizures, post-op Neuro/spinal surgeries, trauma, DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care\n
• Perform comprehensive Neuro assessments and manage post-surgical patients\n
• Monitor and manage chest tubes, drains, and groin sites post-interventional radiology\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner EMR\n
• Adapt to floating assignments across various hospital units as required\n
